Urge your local officials to protect your data from ICE
When you call 911, register a vehicle, or get into a car accident, police and other agencies may share the resulting records, including your personal information, with data brokers. Some of these companies, like LexisNexis, compile the records into detailed profiles and sell access to law enforcement agencies across the country, including ICE.
In August, ICE gave LexisNexis a new no-bid contract and plans to feed its data into Palantir-built systems that help the agency find, track, and detain our neighbors.
Your local officials can cut off the flow of data to ICE at the source by restricting the sharing of residents’ private information with data brokers. Once 10 people from your city or town have signed, we’ll send the petition and signatures directly to those officials. Add your name to help your community get there.
